Perancangan Dan Pengoperasian Dispersi Fiber Tergeser
The application transmission of wave in telecommunication still has an obstacle such as a dispersion. The design and operation of shifted fiber is simulated as prior to the design, which is easier, low cost and high accuracy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the design and operation of the shifted fiber dispersion and to investigate the wavelength value at the minimum dispersion using OptiFiber software. Parameters set to the simulation were four domain, radial fiber width, profile linear and constant, refractive indices range 1.4615 to 1.44692, simulation step 1000, wavelength 1.3μm, and wavelength range from 1.4μm to 1.5μm. The results of simulation obtain a minimum dispersion value of the wavelength at 1. 5506μm. This value obeys the theoretical calculation which is 1.5500μm due to attenuation and dispersion at one-point wavelength. The results of this study can be validated in experiments.
