Pengaruh Penambahan Larutan Glukosa (C6h12o6) Dan Garam (Nacl) Terhadap Proses Metabolisme Sel Ragi (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) Menggunakan Biosensor Lab-On-Chip
The metabolism of bread yeast cells (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) to produce dissolved oxygen levels (pO2) was measured using an integrated biochip-C biosensor based on lab-on-chip concept. Yeast cells used as bioreceptors was cultivated and grown in potato dextrose broth medium (PDB) then immobilized in Biochip-C chamber. Influence of glucose (C6H12O6) and sodium chloride (NaCl) on the viability of yeast cells was observed by adding glucose and sodium chloride of 0 M, 0.1 M, 0.2 M, 0.3 M, 0.4 M and 0.5 M into immobilized yeast cell, while basal potential of the biosensor measured. Results show that the adding of glucose and NaCl influenced the cells metabolic processes to produce pO2 that the higher glucose concentration increases the potential output of the sensor. In the other side, higher NaCl concentration inhibit cells metabolic processes which shows decreasing of potential output.
