Analisa Hubungan Kontras Spekel Terhadap Indeks Bias Madu Menggunakan Metode Laser Speckle Imaging
ABSTRACT
Laser speckle imaging (LSI) method is a non-destructive imaging technique that
can be used to detect optical signals from biological tissues in the form of dark
and bright grains called speckle patterns. This study used the LSI system to
determine the speckle contrast and refractive index of honey using laser diodes
with a wavelength of 650 nm, Riau native forest honey and branded honey as
samples, and a monochrome CMOS camera as a detector. Honey is varied in
water content by adding aquades by 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. Each sample varied
by the water content was divided into three cuvettes and then the images of the
honey specimen was recorded. Recording of honey images was carried out to
determine the speckle contrast value of honey using ImageJ software based on the
value of the intensity and standard deviation of the specimen. The measurement of
water content and sugar content contained in honey was done using a Brix
refractometer, then the refractive index can be determined using a conversion
table of sugar levels to the refractive index. The results showed that the addition
of water content to honey affected the value of speckle contrast and refractive
index of honey. High water content produced a low speckle contrast value and a
low refractive index. The contrast value and the refractive index had a linear
relationship. The greater the contrast value of the speckle, the greater the
refractive index of honey depens on each type of honey.
