Perbandingan Kekambuhan Endometriosis Pada Pasien Pasca Operasi Laparoskopi Dengan Laparotomi Berdasarkan Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhinya Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Endometriosis is endometrial tissue (glands and stroma) that grows outside the uterus. The objejctive of this study was compare the endometriosis recurrence in post-operative laparoscopy patients with laparotomy patients based on the affecting factors at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital in Riau Province. This research used comparative analytic with a retrospective approach as a method. The source of the data was taken from the medical records of endometriosis patients in Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital Riau Province in the period of January 1, 2015 - December 31, 2019. Based on the results of the research, in five years there were 203 patients who experienced endometriosis. Postoperative cumulative recurrence was 22.2%. The number of patients undergoing laparotomy and laparoscopy were 116 patients (70%) and 62 patients (30%), respectively. Comparison of post-operative laparoscopic endometriosis recurrence with laparotomy was (20(32,3%) vs 25(17,7%), p = 0,035). The highest comparison of the time span of post-laparoscopic recurrence and post laparotomy recurrence was >12 months (19(76%) vs. 18(90%), p = 0,269). The most frequent comparison of anatomic locations in laparoscopic and laparotomy patients was left ovarian (6(33.3%) vs 8(32%), p = 0.567) and the most recurring symptoms were dysmenorrhea (16(80%) vs 18(72%), p = 0,997). The conclusion from this study is that recurrence of endometriosis is more common in patients who have had laparotomy compared to those with laparoscopy.
