Karakteristik Dan Pola Bakteri Serta Prevalensi Multidrug Resistant (Mdr) Pada Pasien Peritonitis Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 01 Januari 2015-31 Desember 2018
Peritonitis is a very serious infection problem and a frequent case of surgical emergency. Peritonitis mortality rates ≥40% have been reported for elderly patients, have comorbid disease, and if peritonitis has lasted >48 hours. This study was conducted to determine the characteristics, the patterns of bacteria, and prevalence of bacteria multidrug resistant (MDR) in peritonitis patients in the Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital of Riau Province in 1 January 2015-31 December 2018. This study was a descriptive retrospective and the data were obtained from Electronic Data Processing (EDP) and medical records. The results show the characteristics of peritonitis patients are male (76.9%) and 46-55 years old (21.5%). The most common etiology is appendicitis (29.2%) and the duration of treatment of peritonitis patients are mostly found in the 8-14 days group (41.5%). The conditions when discharged from hospital mostly alive with improved conditions (78.5%). From the culture results, the most common bacteria are Escherichia coli (35,7%) and Klebsiella pneumoniae (21,4%). ESBL on Escherichia coli 4/5 isolates (80%), Klebsiella pneumoniae 3/3 isolates (100%), and Enterobacter cloacae complex 1/1 isolates (100%), MDR on Burkholderia cepacia 1/1 isolates (100%) and Acinetobacter baumannii 2/2 isolates (100%). The most antibiotics given to patients are combination of ceftriaxone+metronidazole (36,9%). The conclusion of this study implies that the most bacteria that can be found in peritonitis patients is Gram-negative bacteria and the results of the resistance tests many bacteria are MDR (78.6%).
