Analisa Sifat Magnetik Dan Identifikasi Kandungan Pasir Sungai Kampar Desa Kualu Provinsi Riau
vii
ABSTRACT
Research on magnetic properties analysisand Identification of kampar River Sand
in Kualu Village of Riau Province has been carried out. Sand samples were taken
in Kampar river and brought to University of Riau instrumentation and magnetism
laboratory to dry first, after which magnetic mineral separation using Iron Sand
Separator (ISS). The next sample was measured its magnetic induction value. The
measurement of magnetic induction used a 2500-winding solenoid, a length of 10
cm and a diameter of 3 cm and a magnetic sensor pasco PS-2162. Magnetic
induction of solenoid without a core is measured at currents (200, 400, 600, 800,
1000) mA with a fixed distance of 1 mm. The results showed that the magnetic
susceptibility value for River sand samples at point C was the highest value
followed by the location of point B and point A with values of 13.767,96 x ,
8.508,48 x , and 8.008,10 x and this value is included in the antiferromagnetic
ilminite (FeTiO3) interval with a range of values (220-380000)
x . The results of the magnetic susceptibility value for the concentrate are also
included in the anti-ferromagnetic ilminite interval with a range of values (220-
380000) x where the River sand at point C is the highest value followed by
the locations of points B and A with values of 17.182,75 x , 10.285,54 x
and 8.953,33 x . X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) test results for the Fe
element have increased after ISS process. River sand at point B has a greater
percentage, followed by the location of points A and C with successive values are
17,265%, 11,386% and 10,952%.
