Korelasi Antara Panjang Telapak Kaki Dengan Tinggi Badan Berdasarkan Jenis Kelamin Pada Ras Mongoloid Usia 18-45 Tahun Di Provinsi Riau
Body height is one of important component in forensic identification. However, height cannot always be easily obtained such as in burnt, mutilated or when only bones left over. This research tries to find a correlation between foot length and height, also to find a regression formula that can be used to estimate the height from foot length of the population of Riau Province. The design of this study was cross sectional, carried out on 230 respondents (115 male and 115 female) aged 18-45 years in Riau Province. The height and foot length measurements were carried out to obtain the correlation coefficient and linear regression formula for height based on sex which obtained by using Pearson correlation statistical tests. The highest correlation coefficient (r) for male respondents is found on the left foot which shows a very strong correlation strength (r = 0,738) and significant correlation (p < 0,01). The highest correlation coefficient for female respondents was found on the right foot which showed a very strong strength of correlations (r = 0,632), and significant correlation (p < 0,01). This study obtained six linier regression formulas consisting of male, female and total respondents.
