Gambaran Profil Lipid Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Dibeberapa Rumah Sakit Di Kota Pekanbaru
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease that occurs due to metabolic disorders characterized by an increase in blood sugar due to impaired insulin function. If diabetes mellitus isnt diagnosed quickly, it can cause microvascular and macrovascular complications. The main cause of death in type 2 diabetes is coronary heart disease, with one of the risk factors being dyslipidemia. So, it is necessary to examine the level of lipid profile in type 2 DM patients. This study aims to determine the description of lipid profile in type 2 DM patients at several hospitals in Pekanbaru city. This study’s design is descriptive cross sectional with total sampling method. Examination of lipid profile was done using cobas C311. The results of this study obtained 63 samples of type 2 DM patients. Characteristics of the type 2 DM patients are mostly women (55.6%), the most age> 55 years (54.68%), the most nutritional status based on BMI is obesity 1 (31.7%) and obesity 2 (30.2%), uncontrolled total cholesterol (41.3%), uncontrolled LDL cholesterol (79.4%), uncontrolled HDL cholesterol (17 , 5%), uncontrolled triglyceride levels (33.4%), and those suffering from dyslipidemia (85.72%). From this study, it can be concluded that most of the lipid profiles of type 2 DM patients at several hospitals in Pekanbaru City are in uncontrolled category.
