Jenis Kanker Paru Pada Pasien Bekas Tb Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2015 – 2019
Lung cancer is an abnormal growth of cells that run into proliferation in the respiratory tract. The disease characterized by abnormal cell growth, unlimited cell growth, and damage healthy tissue cells. The risk increased once the patient suffered pulmonary tuberculosis – a lung disease, through chronic inflammation and fibrosis. This study aims to determine the type of lung cancer in former TB patients at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital Riau Province in 2015 – 2019. This research is a retrospective descriptive study. The result showed that 45 patients out of 318 lung cancer patients or 14,2% had a history of pulmonary TB. Lung cancer mostly suffered patients aged ≥ 40 years with a history of pulmonary TB (40 people, 88,9%) and male patients (38 people, 84,4%). The result also showed that those patients were mostly self-employed (12 people, 26,7%) and had a smoking history (38 people, 84,4%). They also did not have a comorbid disease history (25 people, 55.6%), and a common type of lung cancer in former TB patients is Adenocarcinoma (30 people, 66.7%). The research concluded that lung cancer type in former TB patients is dominantly Adenocarcinoma, a Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
