Hubungan Infestasi Soil Transmitted Helmint Dan Status Gizi Siswa Sdn 10 Bathin Solapan Kesumbo Ampai Duri
Infestation of Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) is an endemic parasitic disease in Indonesian. There’re various symptoms from mild until severe, can start from mild symptoms such as cough to severe ones such as shortness of breath and bleeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the relation of Infestation of Soil Transmitted Helminth and the nutritional status of SDN 10 Bathin Solapan Kesumbo Ampai Duri students. It was an analytical study with cross sectional design and conducted from August to December 2019 at SDN Bathin Solapan Kesumbo Ampai Duri. The total sample used was 69 students. The data used in this study were primary data retrieved from of feces collection and examination as well as height and weight checks. The results of this study were as many as 7.9% students were infested Soil Transmitted Helminth with mild infestation and As many as 92.1% of students were negative infested. The study were infested with Ascaris lumbricoides as many as 6.4% and 1.5% were infested by Trichuris trichiura. Based on the nutritional status of thin students (BMI / U) as much as 17.8% while those who have short stature (TB / U) as many as 43.6%. Statistical analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between STH infestation and BMI / U (p = 0.578) and TB / U (p = 1,000). Thus it can be concluded in this study show that there is no correlation between the Soil Transmitted Helminth infestation with nutritional status of students.
