Profil Pasien Skizofrenia Episode Pertama Yang Dirawat Inap Di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Tampan Provinsi Riau Periode Maret – Juni 2019
Schizophrenia is one of the major mental disorders. Schizophrenia can be caused by various factors and depends on several things such as genetic, physical, and socio-cultural. Schizophrenia patients who show symptoms for the first time for more than a month and have never entered the remission phase previously were categorized as first-episode schizophrenia patients. This study aims to determine the profile of the first episode of schizophrenia patients who were hospitalized in the Tampan Psychiatric Hospital of Riau Province in the period March-June 2019. The design of this study was a cross-sectional descriptive study with a total sampling method which was conducted at the Medical Record Installation of the Tampan Psychiatric Hospital of Riau Province. The total sample used was 71 patients. The data used in this study are secondary data that is taken from medical records of patients who diagnosed with first-episode schizophrenia with research variables namely age, sex, duration of illness, area of origin, diagnosis, and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale – Excited Component scores. The highest frequency in the age range of 18-25 years as much as 25 (35%) patients. In the sexes, it was found that most patients were male, 49 (69%) patients. The duration of illness was highest in patients with a duration of illness > 1 year as much as 20 (28%) patients. the most common psychiatric diagnosis was unspecified schizophrenia (F20.3) as much as 27 (38%) patients. The most common origin of patients was from outside the city of Pekanbaru but still in Riau province with a total of 45 (63%) patients, then in the sample found the most frequent PANSS-EC scores were in the range of ≤ 15 with total 50 (70%) patients.
