Perbedaan Digit Rasio Dan Pola Tangan Suku Melayu Dan Non Melayu Riau
Digit rasio is the rasio of length of different digits or fingers typically measured from the mid-point of bottom crease where the fingers join the hands to the tip of the fingers. Variations of digit rasio have been reported in different ethnic and geographic groups. They had been developed for the Forensic investigation and Anthropology. This research was conducted on 271 respondents (114 Malays and 157 non Malays) in several places in Riau Province with accidental sampling method. The study design was cross sectional. The statistical test used was Fisher’s exact. The result in this study is difference in the right index digit ratio and which 6,6 cm on the right index and 6,7 cm on the right ring finger. The dominant of hand pattern in the Malays is the pattern of hand A and there is no difference of hand patterns in the Malay and non Malays but there are difference of digit ratio of Malay and non Malays.
