Profil Penderita Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (Ppok) Di Poliklinik Paru Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2018
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is chronic inflammatory lung disease causes by obstructed air flow from the lungs. Symptoms include persistent and progressive breathing difficulty caused by irritated gases or particle matter. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of 2018 COPD patients admitted in pulmonary polyclinic of Arifin Achmad Hospital of Riau Province. Data was collected by document check of patient medical records. This study was designed with descriptive retrospective method. There were 308 data obtained from medical records.. The result showed that most common COPD patients in pulmonary polyclinic of Arifin Achmad Hospital of Riau Province in 2018 was at the age 56-65 years which is as many as 118 people (38,32%) and based on gender category male patients was 261 people (84,74%). Based on patients with level of education as elementary students suffered the most as many 88 people (28,58%) and the type of works, COPD patients who were self-employed recorded as high as 88 people (28,58%). Based on history of smoking as many as 154 people (50,00%) suffered shortness of breath and there were 92 people (29,88%)suffered couching. The most common comorbid disease is diabetes mellitus as many as 68 people (36,96%). Most patient with COPD have a history of exacerbation 0-1 time per years as many as 172 people (55,84%).
