Gambaran Perilaku Asupan Makanan Pada Mahasiswa Obesitas Di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau
The prevalence of obesity is still increasing every year. Two principal factors causing obesity are too much consumption of food and decreased physical activity due to sedentary behavior. The purpose of the study was to describe the obese students’ behavior toward food intake. This descriptive study was conducted on 49 obese students at Medical Faculty University of Riau as subject and data were collected using questionare, and analized using descriptive statistics. Results of the study found that most obesity students are female, most suffered from grade I obesity, and 30,6% had family history of obesity. As many as 78% subjects had “neutral” category of attitude toward food intake, and 70% had good subject norm toward food intake, respectively. In “self efficacy” toward food intake, 56% fell into “sufficient” category and the intention of food intake were “good” in 76% subject. Conclusion: behavior of obese students at Medical Faculty University of Riau toward food intake is still non-ideal.
