Kontribusi Adversity Quotient Dan Spiritual Quotient Terhadap Manajemen Stres Kerja Guru SMP Negeri Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota
The existence of curriculum changes that occur also causes more demands on a teacher. Assessment and learning systems that turn into a problem that adds to the complexity of the workload for a teacher. Teachers are required to have a high AQ, given the teacher's task as an educator and as a model for students. As a teacher, many obstacles faced by the teacher, as well as obstacles in improving student achievement.
Workload is one of the factors that can influence the occurrence of stress on the teacher. Individuals tend to experience stress because of too much work to be completed and tend to be difficult / complicated to complete. Work stress in organizational life, for example in schools, is an important symptom that has been observed since the emergence of demands for efficiency at work. The purpose of this study was to analyze the contribution of Adversity Quotient and Spiritual Quotient together to the stress management of work stress of a State Junior High School teacherin Bangkinang Kota District.
Teacher work stress management is an action taken by the teacher to control the natural source of stress so that it does not cause negative effects in the future. Adversity Quotient is something potential where with this potential a teacher can turn obstacles into opportunities. The higher the Adversity Quotient of a teacher, the higher the desire to go forward and change existing obstacles, but conversely the lower the Adversity Quotient of a teacher, the easier it will be for a teacher to give up in facing obstacles or difficulties they face.
While spiritual Quotient is the ability of an individual or a teacher to interpret the meaning of life and understand the value of each action carried out and the potential abilities of each individual or a teacher that makes the individual or teacher can realize and determine the meaning, value, morality, and love for greater power over fellow living beings because they feel part of the whole, so that individuals or teachers can put themselves and live more positively with full wisdom, peace and ultimate happiness.
The study was conducted at the SMP Negeri District Bangkinang city. The sample in this study amounted to 92 junior high school teachers in the District of Bangkinang Kota. Analysis of the data used in the study is simple and multiple regression and correlation.
The results of the study explained that adversity quotient has a contribution to the management of teacher work stress with a contribution of 74.4%. Adversity Quotient is the ability possessed by an individual in managing, overcoming, and responding to problems when the problem arises or in other words the ability possessed by someone to survive facing difficulties or obstacles, as well as one's ability to deal with ongoing changes and make obstacles a process in develop themselves and their potential in achieving planned goals.
