Manages an organization is not an easy thing, that require a lot of elements in its implementation.The aspect which covers company / organization consisting of many factors, namely internal, like employees , management the raw materials, , technology and so on, as well as an external party among others, government policy , investment climate , political and so on.Among so many elements in the organization is one element that can unite all the aspects to synergize achieve one goal, organization namely elements. leaderThis research aims to review, explain and describe the style of leadership in applying the role and functions of public relations in the neighborhood universtas sassy yellow.This study using descriptive. qualitative research methodsInformant of research is composed of 8 people consisting of a rector, vice rector of, the dean, and public relations staff unilak using techniques election purposive sampling, informants whereas the object of this study is the application of the functions and the role of public relations in the neighborhood unilak.Data collection techniques used in the form in depth interviews, observe and document.In achieving the validity of data in this study using the extension of participation and triangulation. The result showed that the university impudence yellow one which is rector having style leadership likely to lead to theory y assume that see man as biological organism growing , develop and do control over yourself; leader to manage the and manage so either organization and employees to fulfill their needs; work bersama-sama clerk to its; organization and encourage employees participate in the decision making process .Researchers also found that there are two factors barrier the application of the role and function of public realtions at the university of impudence yellow one which is still do not have a self contained unit related to the public relations and masuh not having standard operating procedure ( sop ) to this field.
