Hubungan Antara Disiplin Kerja Dan Motivasi Berprestasi Dengan Kinerja Guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri Di Kecamatan Bukit Raya Kota Pekanbaru
Schools as formal educational institutions play an important role in improving the quality of education through learning to support the smooth running of development in Indonesia as a whole. Learning is the main activity of schools as a form of education service for the community. Schools are given the freedom to choose strategies, methods and learning techniques that are in accordance with the characteristics of subjects, students, teachers, and the real conditions of the resources available at the school. In general, student centered learning strategies / methods / techniques are better able to empower student learning. It is important to pay attention to teacher work discipline because the success of education has a lot to expect from teachers. Good teacher performance cannot be achieved if it is not accompanied by teacher adherence to the applicable regulations in carrying out work. Upholding discipline can also make the public view better so that public trust in the school can increase. Achievement motivation is an encouragement in an employee to carry out an activity or task as well as possible in order to achieve work performance (performance) with a commendable predicate. With regard to achievement motivation, people should work based on a need to work in an effort to meet needs and achieve goals. Performance is an act, an achievement or what someone pays attention to through real skills. teachers who have high performance will be eager and try to improve their competence, both in relation to planning, implementation, and learning assessment, so that optimal work results are obtained. There are at least ten factors that can improve teacher performance, both internal and external factors. The ten factors are: Encouragement to work, responsibility for assignments, interest in assignments, appreciation for assignments, opportunities for development, attention from school principals, interpersonal relationships with fellow teachers, MGMP and KKG, guided discussion groups, and library services. This research was conducted at the State Junior High School (SMP) in Bukit Raya Pekanbaru District. The population in this study were teachers at State Junior High Schools (SMP) in Bukit Raya Pekanbaru District, with a total of 71 people with a sample of 60 teachers of State Junior High Schools (SMP) in Bukit Raya Pekanbaru District.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between work discipline and achievement motivation with the performance of state junior high school (SMP) teachers in Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. This research method using a questionnaire method (questionnaire). The type of data from this study is primary data sourced from state junior high school teachers in Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive and inferential statistics. Methods of data analysis in this study using multiple regression. The results showed that work discipline and achievement motivation had a positive correlation with teacher performance of 0.851 or 85.1%. This shows that there is a positive correlation of work discipline and achievement motivation with the performance of junior high school (SMP) teachers in Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. While the remaining 0.149 or 14.9% is correlated to other variables not examined in this study such as salary or wages and benefits, interpersonal correlation and promotions and fees for services and many other variables.
