Kandungan Logam Berat Cd Dan Cr Pada Air, Sedimen Dan Organ Ikan H. Nemurus, O. Hypophthalmus Dari Dua Danau Oxbow Di Kecamatan Siak Hulu, Kampar

Lubuk Siam and Pinang Dalam lakes are the habitats of baung fish (H.
nemurus) and selais fish (O. hypophthalmus) and these fish have high economic
value. This study aims to know the concentration of Cd and Cr heavy metals in
water, sediment, and fish organs (skin, kidney, liver) in both of fish. Water
sample, sediments, and two types of fish were collected and preserved, extracted
acids then analyzed the concentration of heavy metals (Cd, Cr) and tested using
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) Shimadzu AA-7000 flame type.
The results showed that the value of heavy metals in water of Lubuk Siam is
ranged: Cd: 0,0037 – 0,0064 mg/L ; Cr: 0,0130 – 0,0457 mg/L and in Pinang
Dalam Cd: 0,0104 – 0,0109 mg/L ; Cr: 0,0177 – 0,0354 mg/L. Heavy metals in
sediments of Lubuk Siam is ranged: Cd: 0,0100 – 0,0154 mg/L ; Cr: 0,1321 –
0,2269 mg/kg and in Pinang Dalam Cd: 0,0143 – 0,0166 mg/L ; Cr: 0,1247 –
0,2476 mg/kg. Heavy metals Cd dan Cr in water and sediment in both lakes is still
below the quality standard, except for heavy metal Cd in the water in Pinang
Dalam. The content of heavy metals Cd and Cr in the organs (kidneys, liver and
skin) of baung fish and selais in Lubuk Siam Lake and Pinang Dalam are also still
below the quality standard.
