Pengaruh Komitmen Dan Kewajiban Guru Terhadap Semangat Kebangsaan Guru PPKN SMA Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to describe the effect of commitment and obligation of teachers to the national spirit of PPKn SMA Kota Pekanbaru teachers. The background of the problem in this study is that it is found that as the symptoms observed in PPKn SMA Kota Pekanbaru teachers, there are still some teachers who have not performed routine school ceremonies; teachers do not participate in the ceremonies of National holidays and do not have the commitment to commemorate National holidays and have not carried out their duties and obligations to attend the celebrations of National holidays; organizing the commemoration of National hero day; Then there were still teachers who were not interested in having a program of visiting historical places and it was also found that some teachers did not participate in national activities. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study and a survey method with correlational resarch techniques. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires with 46 respondents from 83 PPKn SMA Pekanbaru City teachers who were randomly selected as samples using the Slovin formula. The research method was carried out in which the respondents responded to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale consisting of five answer choices, namely always, often, sometimes, rarely, and never. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential statistics.
Based on the data analysis, it is found that commitment has a positive and significant effect on the spirit of nationality (17.20%) with a relatively low interpretation. This situation is influenced by demographics, namely the tenure of new teachers; Furthermore, it was found that the teacher's obligation had an influence on the national spirit of (39.30%) with a relatively low interpretation. This is due to the employment status of teachers who are more honorary teachers so that the awareness that they have an obligation to carry out their duties is not optimal; and it is found that the commitment and obligations of teachers together have an influence on the spirit of nationality (48.40%) which is in the moderate interpretation but not very high. This research is expected to be useful for improving the national spirit of PPKn teachers in carrying out their duties and obligations.
