Manajemen Kepala Sekolah Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar Negeri 004 Kecamatan Salo Kabupaten Kampar
This research aims to analyze the function and role of school principals as well as inhibiting factors for principal management in an effort to improve the quality of education. This research was conducted in 004 Public Elementary School, Salo District, Kampar Regency. Data collection techniques using documentation, observation and interviews. The data analysis used a qualitative descriptive technique. The results of the study where the management function of the principal in improving the quality of education by having careful planning, doing good organizing, providing direction to teachers and education staff and conducting supervision. The school principal has played its role as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator in improving the quality of education. The factors inhibiting the function in improving the quality of education include the lack of learning media that take advantage of technological developments, the need for more effective learning programs and the lack of student motivation in learning.
