Pembuatan Sistem Steering Dan Rem Pada Mobil Hemat Energi Asykar Urban Gasoline

ABSTRACT
One of the steps to save fuel oil that can be done is to design and make energy-efficient
cars, namely cars that are able to travel as far as possible with the lowest possible fuel
consumption. In the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Riau University, the
manufacture of energy-efficient cars has been carried out from 2017 to 2020. One of the cars
that has been successfully designed is an urban energy-efficient car that resembles an urban
car with four wheels. In order for this car to be driven safely and comfortably, it requires a
steering system and a braking system that is sturdy and has good performance. So in this
study, the steering system and braking system were made according to the design that had
been produced. Some of the steering components and brake components are produced, some
are purchased. Furthermore, all the existing components are assembled into one unit so that
a steering system and braking system are obtained in an energy-efficient urban type car.
From the test results, it can be seen that the steering system and braking system that has been
successfully made can be used properly, so that the car can be driven safely and comfortably.
