Analisis Persaingan Usaha Industri Kecil Kerajinan Bordir/Sulaman Di Kecamatan Bukit Raya Kota Pekanbaru
The advantages of small industry of embroidery in the Bukit Raya
District, Pekanbaru City. The data used are primary data from interviews
with embroidery industry business owners. The methodology of this research
is descriptive method with Porter's Five Forces Model analysis tools, and
profit theory.
The results of the research analyzed with the Porter's Five Forces
Model show that competition among business owners in the embroidery
industry is weak, bargaining power of suppliers is weak, bargaining power of
buyers is strong according to theory, but buyers are not able. To control
prices and purchases, the threat of new entrants is strong because of small
expectations to enter the industry, and the threat of product substitution is
strong in theory, but has no effect on sales and profitability of the embroidery
business.
The results of the calculation of the profits of each small embroidery /
embroidery craft industry above 60% are obtained by 1 embroidery
entrepreneur, 30% - 36% profit is obtained by two entrepreneurs, then 11.1%
profit can be obtained by an embroidery entrepreneur.
