Etnoekologi Komunikasi Masyarakat Adat Andiko 44 (Studi Pemaknaan Masyarakat Adat Kampar)
Communication ethnoecology is a new paradigm that combines the ethnographic study of communication with ecological studies, which departs from the ethnography of communication with its roots in anthropological studies, but gives its own color in the results of its research because it considers the ecocentrism paradigm in environmental ethics. This study aims to reveal the pattern of natural meaning for the indigenous people of Kampar Andiko 44 in Riau Province, which have unique traditions and are full of ecological messages, which can be seen from the kinship structure, symbols of traditional building ornaments, as well as rituals and traditional ceremonies that are carried out.
The research method used is a qualitative method using the Ethnoecological Communication approach. The data collection technique is done through in-depth interviews, observation and document study. Determination of informants is done through a purposive way. The technique of checking the validity of the data used observation persistence, triangulation, peer examination through discussion. The data analysis technique uses the Mile & Huberman method.
The results showed that: First, the indigenous people of Kampar Andiko 44 are matrilineal, with a cultural philosophy referring to the concept of Soko Pisoko and Limbago. In the family and tribal circles, the greatness of the soko was inherited by the Bungsu, the youngest daughter. The way of thinking of Soko Pisoko jo Limbago was eventually brought up in an ecological setting, so that given the identification of the similarities in characteristics and characters between Mother as Soko and with soil properties, the land was assumed to be Soko. Meanwhile, living things such as plants, animals and humans are assumed to be Pisoko. Meanwhile, the sky, which carries the rizki in the form of rain and sunshine, thus growing Pisoko seeds in Soko's land is assumed to be Limbago. In communication ethnoecology, the relationship between the concepts of land as mother, creature as pisoko, and sky as limbago is constructed into the Soko Pisoko jo Limbago model. However, humans as Pisoko, also become Soko in Pisoko because of their central role as supporting the environment, besides that, the role of humans can also change into Limbago if it is linked to a cultural context, where God as Soko creates the Environment as Soko which influences humans in culture. The role of humans as Soko, Pisoko, and Limbago is constructed in the model of Mount Nan Tigo. Second. Environmental Communication Strategies in supporting the principles of sustainable development can take advantage of local wisdom values, both related to the existence of indigenous peoples and their ethnoecological philosophy of communication. Supporting the existence of indigenous peoples is an effort that is in harmony with preserving the environment.
