Analisis Potensi Sentra Industri Di Kecamatan Bengkalis Dan Kecamatan Bantan Berdasarkan Sektor Unggulan Di Kabupaten Bengkalis

The Economic structure is strengthened by placing industrial sector as a
driving force supported by agricultural, marine, and mining activities in broad
meaning that produce product with an efficient, modern and sustainable. In an
effort to accelerate, expand and developing the economy in bengkalis district and
also to increased regional local income (PAD) from non-oil and gas sector. It is
necessary to make effort to developing potential of renewable natural research in
bengkalis regency, including agricultural sector, consists of agricultural foods,
plantation, fishery, animal husbandry, horticultural plants and forestry. So far,
what are the leading commodities in bengkalis regency especially in bengkalis and
bantan district, which are the object of research, And whether the potential of
center industrial in both district based on leading sector, this is the formulation of
problems in this research. The research aim to analyze leading commodities and
also analysis the potential of center industrial based on leading sector in bengkalis
and bantan district. The research used quantitative descriptive research method.
The analytical tools used are comparative analysis Location Quotion (LQ),
potential analysis center industrial, Growth analysis (LP), Social and institutional
analysis.
Through analysis of results such location quotion (LQ), potential analysis
center industrial, Growth analysis (LP), Social and institutional analysis. It is
possible to determined which industries have the potential to be developed in
bengkalis district and bantan district based on priority leading commodities (KUP),
including: (1) agricultural sector, the potential of industrial centers can be
developed in subsector (a) food crop is industrial center food crop based on rice
and corn (Bantan). (b) the vegetable sub – sector namely the center of basic
horticultural industry based on vegetable such as spinach, kale (bantan), chili, long
beans (bengkalis), (c) Fruits sub – sector namely industrial center of fruit based
food processing such as durian (bantan), pineapple (bengkalis), (2) plantation sub
– sector, potential industrial center can be developed including basic processing
industry centers in the plantation sector such as rubber and sago, which are only
found in bengkalis district, (3) Animal husbandry, potential industrial center can
be developed include basic industrial center for processing fresh meat such goats
in bantan district, and (4) fishery sector, potential industrial center can be
developed include basic industrial center processing the result of pond which are
only found in bengkalis district. Through the development of potential for basic
industrial centers above, we hope to make a contribute to growth of the sector, and
that could have a good effect for the welfare of the surrounding community.

To further ensure the sustainable development and development of the agricultural
and fisheries sectors, it is necessary to have a Business Guarantee Institution in
both sectors. Each sub-district with comparative advantage commodity it is
necessary to add strengthen and develop the industry through added value and
continuous innovation by paying more attention in needs and developments market.
