Analisis Sosial Dan Ekonomi Terhadap Partisipasi Perempuan Bekerja Di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

The participation of the workforce will encourage economic development in each
region, this is because the workforce will contribute or produce goods and services which
in turn will increase the regional income itself.
Rokan Hulu Regency is one of the areas in Riau Province where the labor force
participation rate has increased from 2017 to 2019, where in 2017 the labor force
participation rate was 64.82, increasing until 2019 to 68.00. This means that in 2019, 68
people out of 100 working age population actively participate in the labor market. This
study aims to analyze the social and economic participation of women in work in Rokan
Hulu district. This study uses primary data and data collection using a research
questionnaire to 100 respondents who are working women in Rokan Hulu Regency. The
data analysis method was carried out by using the Dummy regression analysis method.
Based on the results of the study, it is known that the husband's income has a
significant negative effect on the participation of women working in Rokan Hulu Regency.
This means that when the husband's income has increased, the participation of women
working in Rokan Hulu Regency will decrease. Women's wages have a significant positive
effect on women's participation in working in Rokan Hulu Regency. This means that when
women's wages have increased the participation of women working in Rokan Hulu Regency
will increase. Women's education has a significant positive effect on women's participation
in working in Rokan Hulu Regency. This means that when women's education increases,
the participation of women working in Rokan Hulu Regency will increase. The number of
school children has a significant positive effect on the participation of women working in
Rokan Hulu Regency. This means that if the number of school children increases, the
participation of women working in Rokan Hulu Regency will increase. And the location of
residence does not have a significant positive effect on the participation of working women
in Rokan Hulu Regency.
