Analisis Pengaruh Belanja Bantuan Sosial, Pendidikan Dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Terhadap Tingkat Kemiskinan Penduduk Di Provinsi Riau

Poverty is still a multidimensional problem in the economies of many countries in
the world. Poverty is a condition in which people not only have a low income level, but
also have limited access to basic needs, education, health and productive economic
activities.
Riau Province is one of the provinces on the island of Sumatera, where poverty is
a problem that must be faced and overcome. As previously explained, poverty is a condition
that is influenced by many aspects, not only economic but also social aspects. Many factors
can promote and even overcome poverty. This study aims to analyze the effect of social
assistance spending, education and economic growth on poverty levels in Riau Province
from 2007 to 2019. The method of data analysis was done by using multiple linear
regression..
The conclusion is social assistance spending has no significant effect on poverty
levels in Riau Province, the meaning is social assistance in Riau Province have not been
able to encourage change for the poor. Education has a significant effect on the poverty
level in Riau Province, which means that any increase in education seen from the average
length of schooling will encourage a decline in the poor. Economic growth does not have
a significant effect on poverty levels in Riau Province, which means changes in economic
growth in Riau Province.
