Analisis Wacana Pesan Moral Dalam Novel “Pergi” Karya Tere Liye

Communication is the process of delivering messages, information and media to familiarize yourself with others. Submission of the message can be face-to-face or through media such as electronic media and print media. One of them is a novel. Novels are generally reading material in which they contain interesting stories, full of imagination, easy to understand so that they have enough readers. Through the writings in the novel the writers can communicate and convey messages to the readers. From this the novel can become a very influential communication tool to convey messages to many audiences.

A novel usually written by the author is to offer an idealized model of life. The characters narrated in the novel contain moral applications that are adapted to events related to morality. One novel that has a moral message in it is a "Pergi" novel by Tere Liye. This novel contains moral messages related to the nature and attitudes of people do in living their lives. Each sentence and paragraph in the novel has a moral message that can be used as a lesson. Therefore this research aims to find out and analyze what moral messages are in the novel "Pergi" by Tere Liye.

This study used qualitative research methods and supported by Norman Fairclough's theory of discourse analysis. The subject and object in this study were observations of every word and sentence in the novel "Pergi" which has a moral message with data collection techniques used documentation and literature study.

The results of this study indicate that there are a moral message contained in the novel "Pergi" by Tere Liye. The moral message is the moral value of human relations with God, human relations with their own self, and human relations with other humans. Obtained through text analysis, discourse practice, and social culture practice from Norman Fairclough's theory.
