This study aims to determine the economic value of using the reservoir as
a source of clean water for PDAMs in Kampar Kiri District. The method used in
this research is descriptive and quantitative methods. Quantitative descriptive
analysis is a study that uses numbers. The population in this study were all service
users from PDAM in villages in Kampar Kiri District in 2019 as many as 365
families with RT1 groups totaling 120 families, RT2 totaling 231 families and
social places totaling 14 families. The sampling technique used simple random
sampling technique, so the sample in the study was 78 people. The data in this
study were analyzed using the Contingent Valuation Method approach with the
WTP concept. The results of this study indicate that the economic value of the use
of the reservoir as a source of clean water for PDAM in Kampar Kiri District is
IDR 4,415,000 / month and the average value of the respondents' willingness to
pay is IDR 294,333. The average value can be used as a reference in the use of
the reservoir as a source of clean water for PDAM in Kampar Kiri District. The
average WTP value is greater than today's average water tariff of Rp. 294,333 /
family / month> from the PDAM offer of 42,000 - 45,000. Apart from showing the
respondents' high concern about the use of reservoirs as a source of clean water
for PDAMs, it is also due to the high level of customer satisfaction (utility) with
the goods or services received.
