Strategi Komunikasi Politik Dpd Partai Amanat Nasional (Pan) Pada Pemilu Legislatif Tahun 2019 Di Kabupaten Siak
In the 2009 election, the National Mandate Party won the highest votes in Siak Regency, namely 17,750 (12.47%) with 5 seats but was defeated by the Golongan Karya party in 2014 by obtaining 30,603 (15.83%) votes and obtaining 6 seats. so that PAN is in fourth place with 23.68 votes (12.24%) with 5 seats. However, in 2019 with the efforts and hard work of the DPD, candidates and their success teams, PAN experienced a very significant increase and received the highest votes, reaching 41,169 (18.47%) votes and obtaining 7 seats. Therefore, this study aims to determine the political communication strategy used by the PAN DPD and also to determine the campaign process carried out by the DPD PAN in the 2019 legislative election in Siak Regency.
This study used qualitative research methods. The location of this research was carried out at DPD PAN Siak, jln. new siak dayun Mempura village, district. Siak with research time from July 2019 - April 2020. The subjects in this study were 6 informants who were selected through purposive technique. Data collection techniques are grouped into three parts, namely: observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used the interactive data analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The technique of checking the validity of the data used the participation extension technique and triangulation.
The results of the study found that the political communication strategy carried out by the DPD PAN, candidates, and the success team in the 2019 legislative elections in Siak Regency was the use of social media as a means of campaigning such as print and electronic media, for example banners, billboards, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other webset. Meanwhile, the campaign model includes: Identification, namely PAN candidates using colors, symbols and logos as their identity and also the identity color or branding of the party they represent. Legitimacy, PAN is able to deliver its incumbent legislative candidates to the DPRD seats because they already have good popularity and electability. Participation, PAN has received support from its constituents either directly, such as attending dialogical campaigns conducted by legislative candidates or indirectly, such as giving souvenirs, business cards, calendars and symbols in certain places. Penetration, at this stage the community can also take part in solving problems experienced by the government for mutual progress. Distribution, PAN has proven its promise during the previous campaign period by providing basic food and masks to people affected by Covid-19 in Siak Regency.
