Pengungkapan Diri Lesbian Coming Out Di Kota Pekanbaru

The life of lesbians has begun to open up, due to the development of lesbians in Pekanbaru City where lesbians are no longer closed to the existence of lesbians, this can be seen from lesbians who can be found in various public places in Pekanbaru City and this writing aims to find out the lesbian process coming out in Pekanbaru City. Coming out means accepting a sexual identity as homosexual which can enhance self-esteem, and promote psychological adjustment in a lesbian.
This writing uses a qualitative writing method with a phenomenological approach. The subject of writing consisted of five lesbians coming out of Pekanbaru who were selected using the Snowball technique. This study uses in-depth interview data collection techniques, observation, and writing documentation. To achieve the validity of the data in this paper, the authors use participation extension, triangulation, and reference adequacy.
The results of the writing show the depiction of coming out or the self-disclosure of a lesbian person.From the five informants it can be concluded that they are coming out to themselves and to others about sexual orientation through the process of coming out experience at stages, namely Awareness, This stage shows that a lesbian feels something about herself, anxiety, feels a difference that affects their thinking and behavior so they try to find out who she really is. Exploration, shows that lesbian lesbians begin to want to know the world of lesbians and he establishes his status as a lesbian. Acceptance, shows that a lesbian has recognized herself as a lesbian and they acknowledge their sexual orientation that likes the same sex. Commitment, shows that lesbians who have acknowledged their sexual orientation, they continue to have this lesbian relationship, even though they know that their sexual orientation is deviant in the eyes of society, religion and culture. But they don't feel proud of this lesbian relationship. Integration, shows that lesbians have a strong mentality where they feel comfortable and calmer after coming out so that they can be themselves.
