Pemanfaatan Media Instagram Komunitas @Ketimbang.Ngemis.Pekanbaru Dalam Meningkatkan Kepedulian Sosial Masyarakat Di Kota Pekanbaru

Instagram is an open communication space for all people, including the media in mass communication. Behind the city of Pekanbaru which the government is incessantly doing development, but on the other hand there are still people who are struggling to survive and need help. Caring about is the duty of every human being, that social activities are part of the work-life effort. This activity was carried out, among others, to promote the noble figure @ Ketimbang.Ngemis. Pekanbaru made donations (in the form of used clothes that were suitable for use and groceries), and helped them sell. They do not seek assistance for beggars because there are still many beggars among them who can still do their work besides begging. The point of this activity is to focus on helping people who are less able but still have a job.

This study uses qualitative research methods and is supported by the Theory of Technological Determinism. Subjects in the study consisted of four research subjects as informants, selected through purposive techniques. Data collection techniques are grouped into three parts, namely: interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques in this study used the interactive data model of Miles and Hiberman. Checking the validity of the data using researcher persistence techniques, extension of participation and triangulation.

The results showed that the use of Instagram social media as a communication medium of the community @ Ketimbang.Ngemis.pekanbaru with the community, followers, the community made Instagram as a means to promote a noble figure so that it can protect you more broadly. The message conveyed also made it easy for Instagram users to read and understand the purpose of the community to increase social awareness in the city of Pekanbaru. evaluation conducted to provide positive things received by the Follower and donors who helped in carrying out social activities by
