Komunikasi Lingkungan Restorasi Ekosistem Riau (Rer) Dalam Pencegahan Kebakaran Lahan Gambut Di Wilayah Semenanjung Kampar

Indonesia's peatland areas are some of the most sensitive and endangered ecosystems in the world. The Kampar Peninsula on Sumatra is one of the largest areas in Southeast Asia and also one of the most threatened. Prevention of forest and land fires is one form of commitment from APRIL GRUP to restore and protect the company's forest concession areas. One of them is in the Kampar Peninsula area which has an area of peatland. RER studies ecosystems and the social environment as a guide in carrying out conservation activities As a result, in the last four years, thanks to a strong commitment with the community in restoring forests and hydrology, there have been no forest and land fires in the RER area on the Kampar Peninsula. This research aims to determine the formulation of an environmental communication implementation program in the Riau RER Ecosystem Restoration, planning environmental communication implementation program in the Riau, RER Ecosystem Restoration, and communication activities for the implementation of environmental communication in the Riau RER Ecosystem Restoration in preventing forest and peatland fires in the Kampar Peninsulaarea.
This research uses qualitative research methods with the presentation of descriptive analysisby describing the condition of the subject or object of research based on visible facts. There are 8 informants in this study who were drawn based on snowball techniques. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, website media observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis models including 4 stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data organizing, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking techniques by triangulation and extension of participation.
The results showed that the APRIL Group (RER) Strategy for implementing the Riau Ecosystem Restoration program in the Kampar Peninsula area: RER uses four approaches in implementing ecosystem restoration: protect, assess, restore and manage. Planning for communication on Riau Ecosystem Restoration, the company carried out outreach activities to the surrounding community by gathering village communities in the concession area. Communication activities are activities to disseminate information. In the digital era, RER prioritizes the use of digital channels to disseminate information about the RER program, including developing relationships with digital media.
