Perencanaan Komunikasi Perwakilan Badan Kependudukan Dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (Bkkbn) Provinsi Riau Pada Pencegahan Stunting
Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five due to chronic malnutrition, especially in the first 1,000 days of life. Data from the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Ministry of National Development Planning / Bappenas, 100 Regencies / Cities with the highest prevalence of stunting based on Riskesdas 2013, Riau Province is in the second position of districts / cities with the highest prevalence of stunting on the island of Sumatra. The National Population and Family Planning Board was given the mandate to contribute to priority programs to accelerate nutrition improvement through the Priority Project for Promotion and Communication of Information and Education on Care for the First 1000 Days of Life in the context of preventing stunting since 2017. The research objective was to determine communication analysis, communication design, media development, implementation and monitoring, as well as evaluation and re-planning carried out by Representatives of the Riau Province National Population and Family Planning Agency on stunting prevention.
This research uses qualitative research methods, conducted at the Representative Office of the National Population and Family Planning Agency of Riau Province and in Kampar Regency. The research subjects consisted of 20 informants who were selected through purposive technique. Next, data collection techniques consisted of semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used a model from Miles and Huberman. Techniques for checking the validity of the data used participation extension and triangulation
The results of the study were the analysis stage consisting of epidemiological analysis by looking at the characteristics of stunted children and behavioral analysis related to the behavior of pregnant women and families with babies under two years who still believed the teachings of the previous generation. The communication design stage consists of target audiences, namely pregnant women and families with babies under two years old, the goal of the Toddler Family Development program as a forum for fostering parents to become great parents. The contents of the message are 1.000 HPK with BKB Kit EMAS (Elimination of Child Stunting Problem) media. The strategy carried out is in coordination with related parties and immediately goes down to socialization to the stunting locus villages. The media used by representatives of the Riau Province National Population and Family Planning Agency has been provided by the central government. Implementation and monitoring, namely training cadres of toddler family development and seeing benchmarks for successful socialization through an evaluation process which will later be used as input.
