Analisis Kausalitas Zakat Dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Di Kabupaten Kampar Periode 2014 (Q1) - 2019 (Q4) Dengan Menggunakan Model Vector Auto Regression (Var)

This study aims to determine and analyze the causal relationship between zakat
and economic growth in Kampar Regency. By knowing the causal relationship of zakat
and economic growth, it is hoped that zakat distribution will be more efficient and
effective. Because zakat has a multiplier effect that will continue to improve along with
the increase in the benefit-based function of zakat, so that the multiplier effect of zakat
will reduce poverty, reduce unemployment, increase welfare, and especially improve the
economy.
The analytical method used in this research is the Vector Auto Regression / Vector
Error Correction Model (VAR / VECM) and Granger causality test to see any causality
or reciprocal of the second variable studied and calculated using software E-views 10.
The results this shows that the Granger causality test of zakat funds and economic
growth has a two-way causality relationship, where zakat funds affect economic growth
and economic growth affects zakat. Where as in the Vector Auto Regression (VAR)
estimation test, zakat has a significant positive effect on economic growth, while
economic growth has a significant negative effect on zakat. By increasing the receipt of
zakat funds and optimizing the distribution portion of zakat funds for the economic aspect
of the portion of zakat fund distribution for the social aspect, the multiplier effect of zakat
will have an impact on reducing poverty, reducing unemployment, increasing welfare,
and especially increasing economic growth.
