Pembuatan Dudukan Motor, Arm Clamp, Cover Dan Instalasi Sistem Tenaga Pendorong Pada Wahana Terbang Quadcopter
ABSTRACT
A quadcopter is an unmanned flying vehicle whose lifting force is
generated by the spin of the propulsion motor. One type of multicopter that is
widely used to perform aerial mapping missions is the quadcopter type. In this
study was designed to build a quadcopter frame structure that is able to support
flying missions with MTOW quadcopter flying vehicles of 5 kg with a payload of
1.5 kg. In 2020, Darmawan conducted research related to the design of
quadcopter frame structures designed for mapping missions. The quadcopter
frame structure was successfully designed to be built using carbon fiber, acrylic
and Polylactic Acid (PLA) plastic materials. This research resulted in the design
and product of quadcopter frame. Darmawan's research only reached the phase
of making quadcopter frame structure. The installation phase of the driving force
system components, electronic control system and flight test has not been carried
out. In addition to this research, it also has several other shortcomings, including
the absence of electronic cover parts that serve as electronic component
safeguards. Furthermore, the arm clamp is still made of acrylic material that is
bitter and prone to cracking when receiving pressure. On the mounting part of the
motor (mounting) is also made of PLA plastic which at a temperature above 600
celsius begins to undergo seeding. Therefore, the process of making mounting
motor from ABS material (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) using 3D printer,
making vehicle arm clamp from aluminum material, vehicle cover made of
composite material hybrid fiberglass-fibercarbon using vacuum bagging method,
and conducting flight test on vehicle with manual control.
