Pembuatan Sistem Transmisi Pemindah Daya Mobil Hemat Energi Tipe Sentrifugal Modifikasi Urban Diesel Pada Kmhe 2020
ABSTRACT
Transmission is one part of the power transfer system that functions to get variations in
moment and speed according to road conditions and loading conditions, which generally uses a
gear ratio. The basic principle of transmission is how to change the rotational speed of a shaft to
the desired rotational speed. Automatic transmission or known as CVT (Continuous Variable
Transmission) is a power transmission system from the engine to the rear tires using a belt that
connects the drive pulley to the driven pulley using the principle of friction. The process of
making the transmission system begins with the design, design by the Selembayung team, and
modifying the centrifugal clutch using a chain with reference to the technical regulations of the
urban type energy-saving car contest (KMHE) in 2019.
The Energy Saving Car Contest or what is often called KMHE is an annual car contest held
by the Ministry of Education and Culture (KEMDIKBUD) in order to appreciate the results of
student innovations and creations in designing and building safe, economical, and
environmentally friendly vehicles. KMHE is held regularly as the agenda of the national
achievement center (PUSPRESNAS). So from that we need a capable transmission system so
that the power and engine speed up to the wheels can move the vehicle according to design
needs. The Selembayung team, as the energy-efficient car team at the University of Riau,
designed and built a transmission system in order to obtain a good energy-efficient car.
