Kaji Eksperimental Pengaruh Variasi Putaran Mesin Terhadap Laju Konsumsi Bahan Bakar Dengan Menggunakan Bahan Bakar Etanol Pada Mobil Hemat Energi Asykar Urban Etanol
ABSTRACT
An Energy Efficient Car vehicle is designed to be safe and efficient and
energy efficient when driving, so there are several things that must be considered,
including the steering system, brakes, vehicle body, vehicle weight and engine.
Factors that affect the performance and exhaust emissions of internal combustion
engines are the quality of the fuel and the results of combustion in the combustion
chamber. One of the influencing parameters is the compression ratio, the ignition
angle, and the ethanol fuel usage. The purpose of this study was to determine the
effect of using ethanol fuel with a compression ratio of 17.1: 1 with engine speed
variations of 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 rpm and
variations in ignition angles (16o, 18o, 20o and 22o. ) before the TDC (Top Dead
Point). After the research was carried out, the results showed that the lowest
specific fuel consumption (SFC) was at engine speed of 5000 rpm, namely when
the ignition angle was 16o before TMA with a value of 6.042 x 10-8 kg / J with a
maximum power of 4772.5 Watt, with a maximum torque of 9.06 Nm So that the
higher the engine speed, the smaller the SFC, this is because the greater the
power produced, the smaller the specific fuel consumption value and the faster the
fuel consumption time.
