Pengembangan Wahana Terbang Tanpa Awak Atha Mapper 2150 Dengan Kemampuan Vertical Take Off – Landing (Vtol)
ABSTRACT
Atha Mapper 2150 has its drawbacks during takeoff and landing, where it requires
relatively wide open air space. In addition, the landing of Atha Mapper 2150 using
belly method has the risk of impact with ground level. In order for Atha Mapper
2150 to take off and land vertically, it is necessary to conduct research related to
the development of Atha Mapper 2150 flying vehicle with Vertical Take Off-
Landing (VTOL) capability. This research started from literature study on the
development of fixed wing rides – VTOL, then continued with analysis of wing
strength structure using R1 2020 ansys software. Furthermore, the ride airframe is
produced using hybrid fiberglass-fibercarbon composite material for fuselage and
foam core composite material for wing and tail parts. Airframes that have been
made are then assembled and installed propulsion systems, flight controllers,
directional control systems and other electronic devices. The ride is tested first in
static conditions to know the performance of the flight controller and to know the
value of deflection that occurs on the wing, then carried out a test flight of the ride.
The simulation result of wing structure strength shows that the maximum deflection
value occurs at the wingtip of 11.45 mm, the maximum voltage occurs at 30,595
MPa and the minimum safety factor value is obtained by 2.4. Flight test results
obtained an average vertical flying speed of 2.29 m / s, an average rate of climb of
1,553 m / s, cruise speed of 16,395 m / s, cruising height of 100 m above ground
level and rides able to fly for 15 minutes. Judging from the remaining battery
capacity after the test flight, it is estimated that the potential flight time can reach
33.94 minutes.
