Perancangan Dan Analisis Belt Conveyor Kapasitas 150 Ton/Jam Berdasarkan Standar Cema Dan Din 22101
ABSTRACT
The conveyor belt is one of the most widely used material conveyances in
industry. In addition to the distance that can be traveled quite far, this tool also has
a large enough carrying capacity. In this study, the belt conveyor was designed
using two standards, namely CEMA edition 5 and DIN 22101. From the calculation
results obtained the component dimensions, effective stress and motor power on the
conveyor belt. The calculation results show that the effective stress on the CEMA
standard is 7940 N greater than the effective stress of the DIN 22101 standard. The
effective stress is strongly influenced by the friction coefficient, the 5th edition of
the CEMA standard uses the friction coefficient on the return idler and carrying
idler (Kx and Ky) and also It is influenced by the temperature correction factor at
the idler (Kt), whereas the DIN 22101 standard uses a single friction coefficient (f)
in the calculation of its effective stress. The maximum yield stress at the pulley is
15.62 MPa and at the idler roller is 0.393 MPa, so based on the yield stress of the
material used, namely ASTM A36 of 400 Mpa, it can be ascertained that the
structure is able to withstand the given load. Meanwhile, the maximum deflection
at the pulley is 0.0138 mm and at the idler roller is 0.00019 mm.
