Gambaran Derajat Dismenorea Primer Pada Siswi Sma Negeri Olahraga Provinsi Riau
Dysmenorrhea is a menstrual disturbance often felt by adolescents in the form of
pain during menstruation. It is divided into two types, i.e. primary and secondary
dysmenorrhea. The former is the type often experienced by adolescents.
Ultrasound examination is used to determine primary dysmenorrhea. There are
several efforts undertaken to reduce the degree of pain in primary dysmenorrhea,
including exercise. Therefore, the main purpose of this study was to determine the
degree of pain in students of SMA Negeri Olahraga, Riau Province before and
after attending SMA Olahraga. This study is a retrospective descriptive conducted
on XI and XII grade female students residing in the school dormitory. Data were
taken using questionnaires and ultrasound from 22 participants. The results
showed that most participants had primary dysmenorrhea (90.9%). Before
attending SMA Olahraga, most participants had moderate primary dysmenorrhea
(70%), while most participants had mild primary dysmenorrhea (75%) after
attending SMA Olahraga. This study concludes that routine exercise could reduce
