Profil Meningioma Intrakranial Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari 2016-Desember 2019
Meningioma is an extra axial primary brain tumor, that occurs outside the
brain parenchyme tissue, originate from arachnoid cap cells. This study was
conducted to know the profile of intracranial meningioma at Arifin Achmad
General Hospital Riau Province period January 2016-December 2019. We used
descriptive retrospective study from anatomic pathology laboratorium archieve,
and medical record archieve since January 2016-December 2019. There were 87
patients diagnosed by intracranial meningioma since January 2016 until
December 2019. The study showed that patients of meningioma were mostly at
ranged 40-49 years (48,3%) and dominantly female (89,7%). Headache was
reported as the highest clinical symptom (75,9%), with the most meningioma were
found in sphenoid wing region (33,3%). Based on World Health Organization we
found first grade is most common (88,5%), which dominantly type of meningioma
was meningothelial meningioma (55.2%). The length of stay of meningioma
patients in one treatment period was more than 7 days (63,2%).
