Gambaran Kepadatan Tulang Pada Pasien Yang Menjalani Hemodialisis Rutin Di Rs X Pekanbaru
End-stage renal disease patients generally have low bone mass, especially those
undergoing hemodialysis. One of the complications is a disruption in bone
metabolism, known as Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral Bone Disorder (CKDMBD)
which has the potential to cause secondary hyperparathyroidism, resulting
in decreased bone mass, fractures and cardiovascular calcification. This study
aimed to determine the description of bone density in patients undergoing routine
hemodialysis at RS X Pekanbaru. The design of this research was descriptive
cross sectional with total sampling method, data taken from medical record. The
results of this study obtained of 13 data samples collected 12 patients (92.3%)
werw male, mostly aged within 39-59 years range (53.8%), and mostly (69.2%)
have had hemodialysis ≥24 months. The bone density of patients undergoing
routine hemodialysis as measured by Dual X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA) were all
(100%) normal. From this study, it can be concluded that all patients undergoing
routine hemodialysis at RS X Pekanbaru have normal bone density.
