Profil Pemeriksaan Mayat Kasus Korban Bunuh Diri Di Provinsi Riau Periode 2015 – 2019
A forensic autopsy is one way to determine the cause of a death, especially
an unnatural death. Suicide is one of the unnatural death. The objective of this study
was to determine the profile of post mortem examinations of suicidal cases in Riau
Province for the period 2015-2019 using a retrospective descriptive method. Data
for this study was obtained from forensic reports belongs to Riau Regional Police
on Medicine and Health Division. The results of the study found that 22 suicides
from 393 cases were examined. There was 16 cases (72,7%) of external post
mortem examinations and 6 cases (27,2%) for an autopsy of the body. The
characteristics of the victims of suicide based on gender were dominated by men
(59,1%). Most of the ages were 26-35 (40,9%). The most common type of wounds
found on the victim's body are abrasions (100%). The most common wound site
were on the neck (100%), head (18,2%), upper extremities (18,2%) and lower
extremities (18,2%). The most type of violence were blunt violence with 22 cases
(100%). For the cause of death, the suicide victims were dominated by hanging
themselves as many as 6 cases (100%). Letter of Request for Visum et Repertum
were mostly came from Pekanbaru (63,6%).
