Kemampuan Menentukan Unsur Intrinsik Teks Cerita Pendek Siswa Kelas XI MAN 2 Kampar

This study aims to determine the level of ability to determine the intrinsic elements of students of class XI MAN 2 Kampar and determine the difference in the results of the ability to determine the intrinsic elements of short story texts between IIS and MIA majors of class XI MAN 2 Kampar. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study were all students of class XI MAN 2 Kampar, totaling 97 students with 2 majors in IIS and MIA. The method of data collection used the description test (essay) method. The results of the research are the ability to determine the intrinsic elements of the short story text of class XI MAN 2 Kampar students in the low category, based on the assessment category determine the intrinsic elements of the short story text of class XI MAN 2 Kampar students in the low category with a score range of 53.3 – 68.9, and the average is 30.78. There is no difference in the ability to determine the intrinsic elements of the short story text of students majoring in MIA and IIS MAN 2 Kampar, all of which are in the low category. The average score of students majoring in MIA is 29.96 and the average score of students majoring in IIS is 31.53.
