Strategi Pengembangan Industri Tapioka Ubi Kayu Di Riau ( Studi Kasus Industri Tepung Rh.Laksamana)
RH.Laksamana is a cassava processing industry ini Riau, which produces cassava starch (Tapioca) products. Some of the problems that arise include: decreasing supply of raw materials, partnerships that have not run optimally, human resources, technology that is still simple, minimal marketing channels, as well as the emergence of new and similar industries. This complex problem resulted in instability in the RH Laksamana in caryying out business activities. This indicates that the business model that has been used so far is unable to deal with changing dynamic business situations, so a new strategy is needed with a breakthrough in the Business Model Canvas (BMC).
The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method with a case study approach. This research approach is based on 9 BMC components. Then the results of the current BMC report are still imperfect which have weaknesses such as imperfect supply of raw materials, partnerships that have not run optimally, the lack of marketing channels for the company’s products, human resources, and techonology.
The days of the BMC will : eliminating, creating, adding and subtracting, resulting in a new BMC as a result of improvements and a new BMC prototype as an alternative strategy that can be used for future businesses. The newly refurbished BMC focuses on developing overseas markets and the new BMC prototype focuses on creating a domestic market. The two new BMCs are supported by an integrated partnership between the company, government and farmers.
