Aplikasi Pemrograman Metode Elemen Hingga Pada Struktur Truss 2d Menggunakan Program Python
ABSTRACT
In structural analysis many problems are too complex to be solved analytically. The Finite Element Method is one of the numerical procedures to solve this problem. The MEH solution requires quite a lot of repeated calculations so that computer assistance is needed. Currently, there are many MEH-based applications such as SAP 2000, MSC/NASTRAN, ALGOR, CAEFEM, ABAQUS, PATRAN, ANSYS. However, these applications cannot be accessed freely but have a high price and strict licensing rules. The difficulty of using this application encourages students to start developing their own programs. At the University of Riau, especially in Mechanical Engineering, there is already an application that has been successfully created to analyze the 2D beam structure using C# language. This success prompted the authors to develop new applications for analyzing 2D truss structures. For making applications, the author uses the python programing language. The simulation results of the developed application show results that are not much different from the analytical calculation, the truss with 2 nodes and 3 elements which are simulated using the design application shows a difference of 0.1% in results compared to the analytical calculation. It can be concluded that the precision of the developed application is close to 100%.
