Kaji Eksperimental Direct Expansion Solar Assisted Heat Pump Water Heater Kapasitas 60 Liter Dengan Menggunakan Refrigeran R134a
ABSTRACT
In everyday life, humans are very dependent on hot water, ranging from household needs such as washing dishes, washing clothes to bathing. Lately, hot baths have become a lifestyle for Indonesian people because there are so many benefits that can be obtained by taking a warm bath. One solution that emerged was the manufacture of direct expansion heat pump water heaters. The test was carried out to determine the performance of a direct-expansion solar-assisted heat pump water heater, which mainly consists of an evaporator panel with a surface area of 0.23 m2, a rotary compressor with an input power of 1/6 PK, an insulated water tank wrapped around a condenser with a diameter of 1/4 inch along the length 15 m and a 1 mm diameter capillary tube 2 m long. The tests were carried out in three different conditions, namely outdoor, indoor, and indoor with AC. The result of this test is that the COP of the DX-SAHPWH system will be better when used in outdoor conditions exposed to direct sunlight, higher solar radiation intensity has a positive effect on the performance of the DX-SAHPWH system. The ambient temperature does not really affect the performance of the DX-SAHPWH system unlike the influence of the intensity of solar radiation, and the lower the desired final water temperature results in the better performance or coefficient of performance (COP) of the DX-SAHPWH system and the time required will also be shorter.
