Pembuatan Alat Uji Tribologi Tipe Disc On Disc

Disc on Disc type Tribology is a type of tribology test instrument which is used to
determine the quantity of tribology, of friction, lubrication and volume of wear.
The working principle of Disc on Disc is the relative motion between materials in
the form of disc that rotate each other so that friction occurs between the disc at a
certain speed. This tribology aims to determine the wear and tear of two materials
that are in contact with each other within a certain time and to make an efficient
and cost-effective test tool in manufacturing. The main components of the Disc on
Disc Tribometer are: electric motor, regulator, disc this tribology can measure
the wear of cylindrical material with a maximum diameter of 250 mm tested for 1
hour each time of testing up to-5 times with different rotations for each test and
producing different wear rates. The higer wear rate occured during the test was at
the time of test, which was. 0.077 mm3/s.
