Gambaran Hasil Spirometri Pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (Ppok) Di Poliklinik Paru Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2017-2019
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease marked by airflow
resistance in the respiratory tract which is progressive and reversible. Airflow
resistance can be measured by performing lung function test using spirometry. Data
from the World Health Organization (WHO) on 2016 presents a prevalence of 251
millions COPD patients and COPD was ranked as the third largest cause of death
worldwide. Statistics from the Basic Health Research (Riset Kesehatan
Dasar/Riskesdas) on 2013 shows 3,7% COPD prevalence in Indonesia with 2,1% in
Riau Province. This study is a retrospective descriptive research which aims to
determine the overview results of spirometry test in COPD patient at the
Pulmonologic Outpatient Clinic of Arifin Achmad General Hospital Riau Province in
2017-2019. The study was conducted with 133 patient COPD subjected to spirometry
examinations. COPD patients admitting themselves for therapy and spirometry test
performance were patients within the age group of ≥ 61 years old in total of 87
patients (65,4%), of which were mostly men in total of 123 patients (92%), with
existing smoking history in 100 patients (75,2%), degree of smoking frequency was
“heavy smoker" in 70 patients (53%), with most spirometry tests resulted in mixed
spirometry results in total of 88 patients (66%), and highest case number of COPD
degree was second degree (moderate COPD) in total of 47 people (35%).
