Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Praktik Masyarakat Terhadap Dampak Kesehatan Akibat Bencana Banjir Di Desa Lubuk Siam

Riau is one of the provinces that are very vulnerable to flood disaster. Flood carriers
various impacts for the community, including health impacts with various diseases such as
diarrhea, leptospirosis, skin diseases, dengue fever, malaria, typhoid fever, upper
respiratory tract infections, ect. Community knowledge affects attitudes and practices in
dealing with the health impacts of floods. The purpose of this study was to describe the
knowledge, attitudes and practices of the community in dealing with the health impacts of
flood in Lubuk Siam Village. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This
research was conducted in Lubuk Siam Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau
Province. The community subjects were 95 people obtained by accidental sampling
technique. Data collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed by univariate analysis.
The results of this study showed that most people have good knowledge (54.7%), a neutral
attitude (60%) and good practices (66.3%) in dealing with the health impacts of floods. It
can be concluded that the community’s behavior is not yet ideal in dealing the health
impacts of floods, especially the attitude of the community which is still neutral.
